Dr Cam Loveridge-Easther

Cataract, Oculoplastic and General Ophthalmologist

Dr Cam Loveridge-Easther is a cataract, oculoplastic and general ophthalmologist trained in Sydney, California and New Zealand. He entered Ophthalmology from General Surgery, which gave him confidence and enjoyment in surgery and procedures.

He enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology but focuses on delivering modern cataract surgery options, eyelid procedures and other general ophthalmology. When he is not with us in Wollongong he pursues complex paediatric ophthalmology in Sydney’s large children’s hospitals, performing cataract surgery and lid procedures on young infants. This delicate surgery gives him an appreciation of careful planning, good communication and gentle tissue handling which he transfers to his adult patients. Dr Loveridge-Easther communicates clearly and will ensure your concerns are heard, and your aims are achieved.

He gained his medical degree at Otago University where he also spent a year doing rural medicine, earning distinction for that year. He enjoys communities outside of the major cities for their unique patient group and practical approach to medicine. He completed his ophthalmology training in New Zealand, working in a mix of large city hospitals and smaller rural settings. He interrupted this training with a research and clinical observation year in San Francisco, California working with some of the state’s most well-respected oculoplastic surgeons: Dr Rona Silkiss and Dr Robert Kersten. He then spent a year in Wellington Hospital, NZ, completing an Oculoplastic and Paediatric Fellowship before moving to Sydney for further paediatric training, focusing on paediatric oculoplastics.

He is a careful and calm surgeon always striving to achieve the outcomes you desire.
