SMILE® Pro
SMILE® Pro is a minimally invasive procedure and a gentle more advanced treatment option in eye laser surgery. Over 10 million procedures have been performed globally as of September 2024.
The benefits:
- Minimally invasive and gentle with only a small incision
- No flap and no flap related complications
- Visual recovery is fast
- Reduced risk and incidence of dry eye
- Supports a comfortable, painless and stress free patient experience
- Odourless and noiseless
- Can treat short-sightedness, far-sightedness, and astigmatism
PresbyLASIK
PresbyLASIK is a type of laser eye surgery designed to correct presbyopia, an age-related condition that makes it difficult to see objects up close.
Presbyopia typically begins to affect people after the age of 40, and it occurs because the eye’s natural lens becomes less flexible, reducing the ability to focus on near objects.
PresbyLASIK specifically addresses presbyopia while often correcting distance vision as well.
The benefits:
- PresbyLASIK gives blended vision correction for distance, intermediate and near vision in order to have less reliance on glasses and contact lenses.
- Vision improves within 24-48 hours but there is a period of neuroadaptation ranging from 2-12 weeks.
- Minimally Invasive: Like LASIK, PresbyLASIK is minimally invasive and requires little downtime.

Lasik
LASIK is the world’s most commonly performed surgery for correcting vision. With its wide treatment range and visual recovery speed, LASIK is backed by proven technology and results.
The benefits:
- Poses little or no post operative pain or discomfort
- Fast visual recovery
- Most frequently performed procedure
- Treatment standard for more than 20 years
- Covers a wide prescription range
- Optimal outcomes for vision correction
PRK
PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) — Surface Laser Ablation was the first type of laser eye surgery for vision correction.
With PRK the recovery time is longer than that of LASIK or SMILE® Pro. However it is still widely performed and offers a number of advantages over the other treatment options for some patients.
The benefits:
- PRK is safe, efficient and predictable
- Gently removes corneal tissue without creating a flap of corneal tissue
- PRK uses a state-of-the art laser beam to alter the top layer of corneal cells
- Suitable for thinner and irregular shaped cornea
- May be possible for patients with mild dry eye symptoms.
- Visual outcome of PRK is excellent
